The Cadmos Standard card is issued outside Lebanon through a card program that supports Apple Pay. Both its Visa and Mastercard variants are eligible for provisioning. Apple's Apple Pay availability page currently excludes Lebanon, so the setup requires an Apple Pay-supported iPhone Region.
The issuer checks each card and device during provisioning and can request verification or decline the request.
Standard card eligibility
The Lebanon setup described here applies to the Standard card. Premium follows a separate card program.

The card program can approve an application, request more information, apply transaction controls, or decline a card. Cadmos provides the app and self-custodial wallet. The partner card program issues and operates the Standard card.
The iPhone setting
The iPhone Region controls whether the Apple Pay card-setup interface is available. Before adding the Standard card, set it to a country or region on Apple's support list:
Settings → General → Language & Region → Region
Keep the Apple Account country unchanged. Cadmos residence and verified identity also remain unchanged. Once Wallet shows the Standard card as ready, the iPhone Region can be returned to Lebanon or the user's preferred setting.
Apple Pay compatibility also depends on a supported iPhone, current iOS, a device passcode or biometrics, and two-factor authentication on the Apple Account. Apple's setup checklist covers those requirements.
Adding the Standard card to Apple Wallet
Cadmos currently uses manual card entry.
- Temporarily select an Apple Pay-supported iPhone Region.
- Open Wallet, tap +, and choose Debit or Credit Card.
- In Cadmos Pay, open the Standard card's Details tab.
- Enter the cardholder name, card number, expiry date, and security code exactly as displayed.
- Accept the issuer terms presented in Apple Wallet.
- Complete the issuer verification shown in Apple Wallet.
- Wait for Wallet to show the card as ready.
- Change the iPhone Region back if desired.
Apple's platform-security guide describes manual card provisioning. Apple encrypts the card details and sends them to the issuer or payment network. The issuer makes the provisioning decision. Retyping the same card details only repeats the request.
Funding and payment
The Cadmos wallet is entirely self-custodial. The user controls the assets and signs every wallet transfer. Cadmos never takes custody and is never the trading or fiat counterparty. Cadmos sets no wallet-balance or cumulative transfer-volume cap on direct supported activity.
Funding the Standard card moves only the amount selected by the user into the partner card program. That funded amount becomes subject to the card program's fees, limits, merchant controls, and compliance rules. Assets left in the wallet remain under the user's control.
At checkout, Apple Pay sends a device-specific payment credential to the merchant. Apple's payment-security guide explains how the Device Account Number protects the underlying card number. The merchant submits an ordinary card authorisation, and the Standard card program checks the funded balance and transaction controls before approving or declining it.

Fees on purchases in Lebanon
The Standard card is issued outside Lebanon through an Apple Pay-enabled program. Eligible Lebanese users can use it through Apple Pay and wherever its card network is accepted, subject to the program's controls.
Purchases made in Lebanon carry the applicable live cross-border charge disclosed for the card. A separate foreign-exchange charge or exchange-rate spread may apply when the purchase currency differs from the card program's settlement currency. Check the current Standard card fee schedule in the app before funding the card or making a large purchase.

For a persistent problem, open Settings → Help Center in Cadmos Pay or email info@cadmos.finance. Include the time, amount, merchant, and visible error. Keep the full card number, security code, Apple Account password, wallet recovery phrase, and Cadmos signing credentials private.
